Is shopping online safe?

Yes it is.  In some ways, using a credit card online is safer than doing so at your neighborhood store.  When your card is validated at your neighborhood store, the card number appears on the charge form and can be read by anyone who views the form.  Online, there are generally two times when your card information is accessible - when a transaction is being processed and while the card number is stored in an online database.

These days, all online transactions are secured by encrypting the message while it's moving from your PC to its destination.  One of the ways to tell that a secure transaction is happening is by looking at the address line in your browser.  This is generally at the top of the browser window and just below the tool bars.  Usually, the URL (address line) starts with "http".  A page handling a secure transaction will start with "https" instead.

Since we never save your credit card information, either online or offline, you never have to worry about anyone getting your card information by breaking into our database.
